In what seemed lke perfect conditions a large field of the best Time triallers in the South West prepared for the simple loop of the A30 (S18). In fact the times thmeselves were slow due to a strong crosswind after the turn.

James Smith was one of the later starters and felt strong up until the turn and actually including the turn. It was not until the return leg that he began to bonk and quickly. "no excuses beaten by a better man on the night, I made mistakes in the run up to that race including attending the chain gang and driving to and from Birmingham the day before, but that does not take anything away from Mark Lees who did a great ride. I am looking forward to the John Andrews Race this weekend".

Chris Scott continues his comeback with a strong ride but was beaten by his young upcoming brother Rob.
