Rockbeare Hill Road race

For a number of logistical reasons the Bovey Carnival Road Race scheduled for 2nd August will not be promoted this year.

In its place Adam Beams has agreed to be the event secretary for the Rockbeare Hill Road race. It has been applied for as a race open to E/1/2/3 with points to a lower band due to it being only 58kms.

This will use a new 11km circuit. It is based on the old A30, the village of Rockbeare and then via the hamlets of Marsh Green and Rockbeare Hill to the ridge road that runs between the Halfway Inn and Daiseymount Roundabouts - a sort of shortened Airport/Aylesbeare circuit. The same kind of main climb but once every 11kms.
